Media Upload Activities
Configure image and file upload activities directly in Study Designer — enabling participants to submit visual and document data seamlessly within their study workflow.
Allow participants to capture photos directly or select images from their device gallery through a guided, protocol-defined capture experience.
Enable participants to upload documents and files from device storage, broadening the types of evidence-based data your study can collect.
All participant submissions are stored securely in Outcome Vault and accessible to your team within Study Manager — including full change log tracking of every file added, replaced, or removed.
Each upload activity is assigned one of three data classifications: PII Restricted (always gated), Non-PII (open access), or Conditionally PII — which triggers a review-and-redact workflow before enabling broader team access.
New activity types are fully configurable within Study Designer — no custom development required. Set validation rules, required fields, and submission behavior.
Media Upload is the prerequisite capability for Central Rating workflows — enabling the independent evaluation and scoring features introduced in this release.
How it works
Add an Image Upload or File Upload activity in Study Designer. Define validation rules, required file types, and participant instructions.
Participants take photos or select files from their device through the ObvioGo mobile app. Submissions are guided by your protocol specifications.
Uploaded files are stored securely in Outcome Vault and surfaced in Study Manager. Your team can view, download, and initiate PII redaction workflows — with access controls enforced per your data classification settings.
For endpoint-driven trials, route submissions directly to a predefined central rater pool for independent, blinded scoring before activity completion.
